When Morgan was given a six month deadline to get married so he could claim his inheritance, it made all the sense in the world to say he planned to propose to his housemate: Lilah Michaels. It didn't matter that they weren't dating. It was either that, or be tied to someone his mother deemed appropriate, not caring if he'd be happy with them or not. At least with Lilah, they could part ways after a while and remain friends. His mother wasn't happy with the match, but that didn't matter.
